On the street lights

 In recent years, China's major cities are in the implementation of city lighting project, make our city many splendours of the night sky, but the municipal construction and other road construction often have pairs of buried cables caused by injury, while the road surface hardening and green again so that we are not in a large area to dig to find the point of failure, so street department needed a simple, practical, portable, can quickly determine the location of the point of failure fault test equipment. Some street departments have purchased manufactured home and abroad, cable fault tester, but the actual usefulness of the process of using too bad, too complex, the workers will not use, do not want to use, making it a long-term idle. This is because the kinds of defects caused by the instrument itself, summed up in the following points:
1. The cable instrument by the range and fixed-point of two parts, suitable for a no-load point of failure of the cable test. However, there are tens of meters per streetlight cable connectors, lamps, starters, and often there are bifurcation, these objective factors, so in order to analyze the waveform-based ranging (distance from the point of failure) can not be completed (unless the cable bifurcation and insurance all torn off, which is obviously unrealistic). 2. Waveform analysis is difficult, due to on-site interference, equipment failure response to the actual waveform and the laboratory and instructions are standard on the waveform to differ materially, workers do not have some experience or very difficult to accurately judge.
3. The point of failure ranging is complete, accurate fixed-point of the point of failure, we should increase high-voltage cable fault impact, forcing the discharge point of failure, people wearing headphones at the top of the cable, on the ground through the distinguished voice of the size of discharge to determine the point of failure, but because of too much ambient noise is often impossible to distinguish a person's ear discharge sound and noise.
